Apply for financial management
What is financial management?
- When you apply for financial management, you are asking that someone becomes a financial manager for another person.
- A financial manager can make decisions about financial affairs for the person.
- A financial manager can pay bills, operate bank accounts and buy and sell property on behalf of the person.
- The Tribunal will only appoint a financial manager if they believe the person is unable to make these decisions for themselves and there is a need to appoint someone to make these decisions for them.
Making the application
You can make an application by:
- applying online or
- printing out the Application for Appointment of a Financial Manager and/or Appointment of a Guardian form from the publications section of this website, or
- speaking to the Tribunal's enquiry service.
