Parking

The Guardianship Tribunal has limited visitor parking on the ground floor of the building for people attending hearings. Designated disabled parking spaces are provided.

Getting into and out of the Guardianship Tribunal carpark

  1. Turn into Rowntree Street from Darling Street or cross the Darling Street intersection if coming from Montague Street.
  2. The Tribunal building is the first building on the left with a sign 'Guardianship Tribunal' and the street number '2a'.
  3. At the end of the building, there is a private laneway before the video shop. Turn left into the laneway and drive about 5 metres.
  4. On the driver's side (right), there is a pole with box and intercom speaker that connects to the Guardianship Tribunal reception. Press the button and speak to our receptionist, who will activate the carpark roller doors (height 2.0 metres) so that you can drive in.
  5. You can park in the visitor spaces marked 5 to 32. The disabled parking spaces (spaces 7 and 8) are for people authorised to park in disabled spaces.
  6. To leave the carpark, you should press the green button that is on the white column with the 'Exit' sign. The green button activates the carpark roller doors which will stay open for 1 minute. Remember to check for vehicles coming along the laneway.

Getting to the Guardianship Tribunal reception

Inside the carpark, there is a door with a sign saying 'To Lift, Guardianship Tribunal Level 3'. Go through this door to come to the foyer and lift. Take the lift to Level 3, turn right and go through the glass doors.

Parking on the street

Because there is limited parking under the building, it is possible that all the visitor parking spaces have been taken on occasions when a number of hearings are being held at the same time. Where it is not possible to park in the building, there is coin-operated meter parking on the streets nearby.
